No. 10 Lady Bearcats Defeat AASU, 101-55

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The No. 10-ranked Lander University women's basketball squad won its 13th straight contest with a 101-55 Peach Belt Conference victory over host Armstrong Atlantic State on Monday evening in Savannah.
The Lady Bearcats (20-1, 13-0 PBC) remained undefeated in Peach Belt Conference play, while becoming the first team to reach the century mark against the Lady Pirates (7-14, 4-9 PBC) since Florida Atlantic defeated AASU, 106-43, back on Nov. 23, 1988.
AASU led by one, 15-14, with 11:43 remaining on a Marissa Rimbert basket, but the Lady Pirates would go the next 6:43 without a point and score just six points the rest of the half as Lander built a 42-21 halftime lead.
The Lady Bearcats then began the second half on an 18-2 run to lead, 60-23, and come away with the victory.
Mukia Myrick came off the bench to record 18 points and lead a quartet of Lady Bearcats in double figures. Jasmine Judge hit five three-pointers - all in the first half - for her 15 points, while Ciara Lyons added 12 points and Brianna Webb chipped in 10.
Senior Portia Jones led the Lady Pirates on the night with 14 points, while junior Arpine Amirkhanyan collected 13 points and freshman Briana McFarland added a season-high eight points.
The Lady Pirates return to action on Thursday, February 11, with a 5:30 p.m. Peach Belt Conference contest at Georgia Southwestern in Americus, Ga.
