Huddleston Earns PBC Preseason All-Conference Softball Honors

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Senior first baseman
Nicole Huddleston has been named to the 2010
preseason All-Peach Belt Conference softball squad, released today
by league officials.
The Rossville, Ga., native was named as the first baseman on the
11-player squad for the second consecutive season. Huddleston led
the PBC in 2009 with 15 doubles, while hitting .328 with six home
runs and a team-high 36 RBI. She also ranked fourth in the PBC in
slugging percentage (.523) and second in on-base percentage
(.458).
The senior earned All-PBC and NFCA All-Southeast Region honors
last year as a junior. In her three seasons as a Pirate, she has 17
career home runs, ranking ninth all-time in Pirate history.

Huddleston and the Pirates open up the 2010 season on Friday,
February 5, facing NCAA participant Valdosta State at 2:00 p.m. in
the Georgia Southwestern Invitational in Americus, Ga.
