AASU Baseball Ranked No. 28 In Ping! Baseball Top 30


SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State baseball squad will begin the 2010 season nationally-ranked in one Division II poll as Ping! Baseball has slotted the Pirates at No. 28 in its Top 30 preseason poll.

The Pirates return seven starters and 18 letterwinners overall from last season's squad that finished 38-18 overall and 15-12 in the Peach Belt Conference. AASU is one of four Peach Belt Conference schools featured in the Top 30 with Francis Marion (8), USC Aiken (9), and GCSU (23). You can view the complete Top 30 poll from Ping! Baseball here.

The Pirates open the 2010 season one week from today on Friday, February 5, hosting Salem International at 2:00 p.m. at Pirate Field.
