AASU Tennis Named Top Savannah Sports Story Of 2010

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State men's and women's tennis teams' back-to-back NCAA DII National Championships are the top Savannah sports story of 2009, according to ABC affiliate WJCL-TV 22 / Fox affiliate WTGS-TV 28. The teams were featured in the January 1 newscast as the station counted down the top stories of the past year this week.
Sports director Frank Sulkowski and assistant sports director Allen Kinzly covered the Pirates' run to the back-to-back championships, which concluded in May of 2009 at the NCAA DII National Championships in Altamonte Springs, Fla., as well as the return to Savannah with the trophies at Compass Point on the campus of AASU.
